Reeds

There are a few things that I am addicted to taking photos of.  One of these is Fulmar, the gorgeous seabird that I’ve talked about here a fair bit.  My next admission is reeds:

reeds

These big aquatic grasses can change their looks in different light conditions, wind levels and the different seasons and always catch my eye as I walk around my local wetlands.  When they catch the light of dawn or dusk they can turn golden and with a long exposure their pendulous swings in the wind can make some amazing shapes.  On top of this they are home to some amazing animals such as Water Rails, Marsh Harriers, Bearded Tits, Cettis Warblers, Reed Bunting etc. etc.

So I’ll try to resist but odds are that there will be more pictures of reeds, more Fulmar and more admissions of my photographic addictions.
