Little Stint

Back to birds that aren’t completely new to me :)  This Little Stint was on the North Pond of Skokholm and is a surprising bird, mainly because it is so tiny!  These waders feed around the feet of other waders but are still exquisitely patterned.  This contrasts with their dull black bill and legs to give a bit of a mish mash of looks but it just about pulls it off to look quite stylish.  This one spent a day or two on the North Pond of Skokholm and was first spotted purely by its size in the gloom of an overcast dawn.
